As you see above, the sign is up. The house is officially for sale!

I’ve been telling myself that I shouldn’t get excited about any of this. The market is not at it’s best and people are taking a long time to sell their house. A friend’s neighbor has had his house on the market for over 500 days. So getting excited early would only lead to disappointment.

When I finished the house I told myself to stay calm, we’re just starting. When I selected a realtor and signed the paperwork to officially put the house up for sale, I reminded myself of the many, many weeks ahead. But when my realtor sent me the email at 1:33 pm today telling me there was a sign in my front yard I couldn’t help but get all hee-hee inside. The house is for sale. This next step may take longer than I want, but it’s still the big step!
