My ridiculous love of logos has had me trying to come up with a logo for k&t ever since I thought of the name. I tried making a little yin-yang with a snarling maw on one side and a punching fist on the other. But that sucked. Then I tried a logo that somehow incorporated Knuckles from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, but nothing really came of that.

Then I got this idea of some brass knuckles with teeth. After a few hand sketches I went digital and made the logo you see above. I was pretty happy with it at first. But now… I dunno.

I like the name “knuckles and teeth” because it evokes certain thoughts and images right away. As a fan of social engineering I think it’s interesting that you can set the perceived tone of something with 3 words (2 if you don’t count “and”) that don’t actually say anything; though that perceived tone may be completely incorrect.

But I’m wondering if the logo might be too directly aggressive. If the unspoken connotation has now been spoken, you know? For now it stays… but who knows…

The k&t expansion continues it seems. I’ve decided to add a “Linux” category to the blog. While much of the blog is intended to be readable by most anyone, the Linux section will be ultra-geeky and will most likely not be of any interest to you unless you too love the penguin.

21%. That’s how much of my day I’ve spent blogging today. That’s 5 hours. I’ve written 3 blogs and 1 draft. I can easily see how blogging can become a full time job. But since that’s not happening for me anytime soon, I am accepting volunteers for anyone who want to come over my house and make me a sandwich…

Blogging: One more reason for public transportation.

K… the site is version 0.12 now. Changes to several category names, re-organization of the sidebar, background color was added, and all links are under a single “Jumps” section.

It’s almost 1 in the morning and this is how I’m wasting my oh-so precious sleep time.

As promised earlier I’ve now added new section entitled “Plugged In” to k&t to talk about toys, gadgets, and all things technology related. Hopefully this will detract from my apparent failure of the original purpose of the blog. I’ve got two sections planned so far:

• Tech U will house articles intended on (possibly) teaching you a thing or two about technical things.
• The White board will be the spot for general technology stuff and I assume will contain the bulk of technology blogs.

So let’s see where the blog goes from here.
